Trinity College Brand Standards

The teams behind the Brand and marketing materials for Trinity College are responsible for maintaining, protecting and growing the authenticity and equity behind the Trinity College Brand. The Standards needed to exist to provide clear, reliable, and lasting guidance on how to use and develop the Brand so every effort helps communicate a unified message efficiently, effectively, and with the greatest impact. In order to do so, careful considerations of the Brand elements and devices were recommended to help unify and establish a strong Brand. This included rules and guidance for the logo, colors and typography along with the Brand voice and other elements of the system.

The Standards cover rules to follow in most every application to maintain Brand consistency and equity without sacrificing the creativity available to those entrusted with the care of the Brand.

Co:Lab brought me on board to lead the Standards project, and over the course of 8 weeks, helped to aggregate, distill and consolidate previous efforts towards a single Standards to guide teams to evolve the Brand for the future by organizing a sustainable brand framework and system, introducing and writing all content including guidance for positioning, principles and voice, while giving design and art direction for multiple application examples.
